The colour has always effects whatever the base material is, ceramic or non ceramic.
The acquisition and transmission of heat is higher if the base of the finish is darker, refracting more light and absorbing less heat. The more light finishing is, the less heat it is absorbed.
Therefore in cold areas is more common to find red and dark colours, while in warmer areas it is common to place more light and cream colours.
However, if the under roof tile is well isolated and ventilated, this factor makes little difference if the specifications of Isolation and ventilation covers technical code meet.
